A body consumed in fire!
Too hot to handle
How will it survive the temptations
This heart’s so tender!
Desire
Of land, wealth, fame
May take you on a temporary high
But will put your soul to shame!
Like a mirage in the desert
A ship without sail
What may look like freedom
Will turn out to be worse than spending
Your entire life in jail!
Desire
Of any kind
Easily makes you blind!
Happiness and contentment is replaced with
Fear, anxiety and resentment
Of losing what you desired & attained!
So lift yourself up
Dig into your inner strength with conviction
Let Love be the magic prescription!
Desire
Will be consumed in it’s own fire!
Once you rise up with love
There’s only one way to go
Higher, higher and higher
Closer to God, far away from desire!
